1.  Riverwalk Boats Offer more than a simple ride
Very few places in Colorado provide the opportunity for people to take a water taxi - Pueblo's Historic Arkansas Riverwalk is one. In fact, the boats have been used for just about anything deemed "safe." Boats have even been used to transport a bride and her father to a wedding site within the 26-acre complex. A barbershop quartet association rented the boats and sat under the Union Avenue Bridge while their voices reverberated through the cool crisp summer air. Forty combined voices created an awesome experience for unsuspecting pedestrians on the Riverwalk. Senior retirement center groups frequently book dining charters and meeting planners break away from all day indoor seminars to enjoy cocktail parties as they merrily float down the river channel.

2.  Commercial Development to Take Place on the Riverwalk
The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo (HARP) Authority is pleased to announce that the Professional Bull Riders, Inc. will re-locate and build its National Headquarters on Lot 2 of Pueblo’s Riverwalk. In surveying various locations, Pueblo won out over other sites in addition to beating the option of expanding the headquarters in the city of Colorado Springs where the PBR is currently housed. Located between two high traffic corridors, Victoria and Union Avenues, the Lot 2 project will overlook the existing Riverwalk boathouse. Steve Arveschoug, Executive Director of the HARP Authority, said “This is the start of many exciting commercial developments to come to Pueblo’s Riverwalk. It is a unique development, in that it includes a 180 professional jobs and the Riverwalk’s first retail restaurant development.” Development will begin in April of 2006.
