About Gateway Park

Gateway Park is the third phase of the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo. It was part of the original plan presented to and approved by the voters of Pueblo in 1995. Gateway Park will be the vital link that will connect the existing Riverwalk to the planed expansion of the Pueblo Convention Center. When complete, Gateway Park will increase the Riverwalk's visibility from Interstate 25 and offer two additional development sites.

Gateway Park will be completed in three phases (Phase III A-1, Phase III A-2 and Phase III B). Phase III A-1 is scheduled to begin construction in fall of 2006. Subsequent phases of the Gateway Park project will begin as soon as the necessary funding is available and construction on previous phases is complete.
