YMCA Healthy Kids Day April 14, 2007 YMCA Healthy Kids Day is part of YMCA Activate America, an innovative public health initiative of the YMCA movement that is making healthy living a reality for millions of Americans. June 4, 2007-August 17, 2007: Monday through Friday The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo in coordination with the YMCA and Steps to a Healthier Colorado - Pueblo County, proudly host an energizing time of exercise in a beautiful setting. Starting June 4 YMCA Fitness on the Riverwalk will take place each weekday morning at 6:30 a.m. at the Grand Staircase of the Riverwalk near City Hall. the 2007 YMCA Fitness on the Riverwalk will continue through the middle of August and is a great way to start your work day off right! Boats, Blues and Bar-B-Que June 8 & 9, 2007 Boats, Blues and BBQ is the premiere summer event on the Riverwalk. Rollin' on the Riverwalk June 30, 2007 Rollin' on the Riverwalk is an annual patriotic concert event that joins Pueblo's Riverwalk and the Pueblo Symphony Orchestra. This year the symphony will perform with the world-renowned Flash Cadillac! Each year the event gets bigger and better! The concert is held the Saturday before the Fourth of July. KDZA
Kool Kustom Kar Show September 8, 2007 The one-day KDZA Kool Kustom Kar Show boasts more than 5,000 spectators who come to see the more than 300 custom cars on display. In addition, the event features entertainment, food and beverage vendors, and our annual car giveaway. To register your car for KDZA's biggest car show, complete the registration form available at the KDZA station, located at 106 W. 24th St. Registrations will be available a month prior to the event. All Kool cars will be accepted and there is no entry fee. Free tickets to the event will be available at all Pueblo Loaf 'N' Jugs two weeks prior to the event. on the Move Week at the YMCA September 29 & 30, 2007 America On the Move Week at the YMCA is a part of the YMCA's national initiative known as YMCA Activate America, which is rallying YMCAs across the country to further enhance their service and support to kids, adults, and families who want a healthier lifestyle, but struggle to do so. As a part of YMCA Activate America, YMCAs are also deepening their commitment to community-wide efforts to promote healthy living and intensifying their collaboration with other community partners to magnify their impact. YMCAs nationwide will track both the number of people that participate in America On the Move Week at the YMCA and the number of steps taken by individuals in these activities. The goal for America On the Move Week at the YMCA is to reach one billion steps across the country during this designated week. We can get there with your help! Ghost
Walk September 28 & 29 and October 5 & 6, 2007 Puebloans past and present will combine for four evenings on Union Avenue to provide some historical education and entertainment, as well as to raise funds for a local non-profit. The annual Ghost Walk will employ high school students, local actors, members of the task force and other community volunteers to guide patrons in a walk from El Pueblo History Museum through Downtown Pueblo and on to the Riverwalk to share stories of Pueblo's past. Holiday
Lighting Extravaganza November 23, 2007 'Tis the season! Each year Pueblo's Riverwalk brings the joy and wonder of the holiday season to life by hosting the Annual Holiday Lighting Extravaganza. Come see the Riverwalk beautifully illuminated with holiday lights and displays, sip a cup of hot chocolate, listen to a variety of festive live musical entertainment groups sing carols or ride the boats to tour the festively decorated channel. NORAD will be on hand to update the crowd on Santa Claus' journey as his much anticipated arrival at the Riverwalk draws near. The grand finale of the evening is a stunning fireworks show over Lake Elizabeth! It is the "can't miss" holiday event of the season!
