The Boettcher Outdoor Education Center is on the Southeast end of the Riverwalk (nearest end to Santa Fe Avenue). This is the natural area of the Riverwalk that features flora and
fauna natural to the Arkansas River as it goes through Pueblo, Colorado. A
curriculum guide based on the Zebulon Montgomery Pike expedition's exploration of the American west is available for use in the classroom areas of the Riverwalk, as well as a well
equipped science lab featuring microscopes. The outdoor amphitheater and various walking trails provide excellent staging areas for physical education classes, guest speakers/lecturers, history and
mathematics classes. Contact the HARP Foundation for more information or to schedule a time for your class trip to the Riverwalk.
